Our Journey Through the Years
Since our inception, the Boston Innovation Community has been a beacon of hope and transformation in Roxbury and beyond. Our timeline highlights the pivotal moments that have shaped our mission and impact.
2022
Foundation of BIC
Inthe global pandemic, we launched the Community Resilience Initiative with a vision to empower local neighborhoods through community-driven initiatives and sustainable solutions.
April, 2025
Renovation of Teranga Grill
We gut renovated an old pizza restaurant in Nubian Square to focus on the locl underserved populations and feed them while we got to understand more about the community needs.
March, 2026
Youth Employment Program
We opened Teranga Grill, our social enterprise restaurant, offering halal cuisine and creating dignified employment opportunities for local youth and career pathways in Greater Boston.
April 2026
Community Training Initiative
We partner with local nonprofits and community organizations to help provide meals to those in need. Through collaboration and cultural connection, we strive to make a meaningful impact both inside and outside the restaurant.
