MISSION, PURPOSE, & VALUES
Boston Innovation Community is a non-profit organization that will use its space to cook and distribute 3,000 free meals each month to families, foster children, individuals with disabilities, and senior citizens, specifically those who are in need and may not always have the resources to prepare a meal for themselves.
More than one in three homes in Massachusetts face food insecurity, leaving over 2 million families without consistent access to the nutrients they need to thrive. In response, our organization has raised over two hundred thousand dollars toward building a state-of-the-art community restaurant designed to welcome and nourish people. While the restaurant sustains itself through revenue & donations, its deeper purpose is to serve the community for positive change.
We’re also committed to supporting young aspiring entrepreneurs, ages 14–21, in launching their own businesses. Many youths in Greater Boston have the drive and determination but lack the resources and opportunities to get started.
Purchasing Our Building: Investing in Community Space
The building we are fundraising to purchase serves as the home for our restaurant, where we are working to transform our three-story property into a vibrant hub featuring affordable housing, apartments, and a social hall—creating a lasting home for both our programs and the people we serve. With the money we generate, we will redirect it to help other communities throughout Massachusetts, specifically those going through financial and socio-economic distress. We aim to reduce reliance on external financial support and foster greater self-sufficiency across the city.
