Our Journey of Building Teranga Grill

It all began in March 2025, when a few friends — Robert and Barry — came together with one shared vision. Our organization purchased Ethiopian café for $30,000, we saw potential where others saw an empty space. Bit by bit, and without looking to any other restaurant for reference, we built this place from the ground up, planning and learning as we went. After two years of fundraising $300,000 and 10 months of sweat, teamwork, and belief, our vision became reality.

What we’ve created is more than a restaurant — it’s a symbol of perseverance, community, and heart. Every wall tells a story of dedication, every detail shaped by hands that care. We believe in uplifting our community, providing opportunities, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome. Teranga Grill stands as proof that when passion and purpose come together, anything is possible.
